Outlined below are some of our key texts and celebrations we plan to cover. We follow the children's interests so this may change, but we will always keep you informed on the red parent noticeboard outside Nursery. On here you will also find out our weekly sound, number, shape, book, song and Makaton sign to help with learning at home. 

Autumn Term

Key Texts: Here We Are, Three Little Pigs, The Train Ride, The Gingerbread Man.

Celebrations: Harvest, Halloween, Bonfire Night, Remembrance Day, Diwali, Christmas.

Spring Term 

Key Texts: Elmer and Friends, Aliens Love Underpants, Jack and the Beanstalk, The Enormous Turnip.

Celebrations: Chinese New Year, Easter, Shrove Tuesday. 

Summer Term

Key Texts: The Very Hungry Caterpillar, What the Ladybird Heard, Hooray for Fish, Pirates Love Underpants. 

Celebrations: Ramadan, St. Georges Day, Noah's Ark.

To reduce the amount of duplicated gifts (and because of Covid) we have been asked to create a 'Wish list' for our class. Our learning environment is a very exciting place to be! However, there are always special little extras that we wish the budget could stretch to. The items on our list are things that we believe will provide enhanced learning opportunities for your children. If you think you could find an item off the list cheaper, or would prefer to support smaller, local businesses, then please feel free to just use the list to get ideas from! Amazon is just the platform we're using to share our list with you. Equally, please understand there is no pressure at all to purchase ANYTHING, we understand how tricky this year might have been financially.
