Every Thursday morning, each class enjoys a dedicated Oracy Assembly, where children build confidence in speaking, listening, and sharing their ideas with others. To help extend this learning beyond the classroom, a short overview of the assembly will be uploaded to the class webpages each Friday. This gives you a great opportunity to chat with your child at home about what they’ve learned, the topics discussed, and how they’re developing their communication skills. We love working in partnership with families to support confident, thoughtful speakers!
Are all risks worth taking? Are some risks better than others? |

With Safer Internet Day coming up, we are sharing Wake Up Wednesday Guides for each Year group. Behind video-sharing platforms (like YouTube) and streaming TV shows and movies, gaming is the third most popular online activity for children in the UK. In fact, according to recent data from Ofcom, an overwhelming 89% of children aged 3 to 17 play video games. Of those, more than one in five (22%) talk to other players online who they don’t know outside the game.
The risk of contact from strangers is just one of the reasons that many parents are concerned about their child’s gaming: increased screen time, inappropriate content and in-game spending also figure among the most frequent fears. Agreeing on some rules around your child’s gaming activities can certainly help, and our guide has some useful tips for establishing these boundaries.

Christmas Jumper Day is a fun and festive day where everyone comes to school wearing their favourite Christmas jumper. It could be colourful, sparkly, or decorated with reindeer, snowmen, or anything Christmassy! Thank you to all for the donations that will be sent to the charity Save The Children. It’s a cheerful way to celebrate the season, spread kindness, and enjoy a bit of Christmas fun together.

We had a very exciting time today, it’s Children In Need Day. All classes took part in the Strictly CIN Dance! Strictly pros Luba, Michelle, Nancy and Neil created a brand new cha cha cha routine to the song what makes you beautiful! We all enjoyed taking part in the challenge and it was a 10 from the grown ups!
