Meet and Greet Year 2

27th November

Today, one of our friends has been given the New Pupil Leadership role of Year 2 WOW Ambassador.  WOW Ambassador is an important role a pupil can take on to support the delivery of WOW in our school. Their key role is to champion all things WOW in their class and across our school, encouraging other pupils to walk or travel actively to school. They will assist with recording journeys on the WOW Travel Tracker and take the responsibility of awarding WOW badges at the end of each month. Warwick Bear came in to congratulate you!

21st November

As part of Road Safety week, we are taking part in a competition.  Warwick Bear came to visit and we had to design an outfit so that he would be bright and seen as the afternoons are getting darker.  Winner and runner up to be announced soon.

We had a very exciting time today, it’s Children In Need Day.   All classes took  part in the Strictly CIN Dance! Strictly pros Luba, Michelle, Nancy and Neil created a brand new cha cha cha routine to the song what makes you beautiful! We all enjoyed taking part in the challenge and it was a 10 from the grown ups!

 12th November

Today is Antibullying and Odd Socks Day. Wearing odd socks is a way to celebrate what makes us different and to express our individuality.

Science Learning:

Year 2 have been busy learning about Materials and their everyday uses. This week we were learning if materials could be twisted, bent, stretched and squashed. We had some fun with playdough experimenting this.

Geography Week

Year 2 have been completing extra learning to celebrate Geography Week W.C. 20.10.25. The children participated in a 'Bingo' game where they had to ask their peers questions linked to Geography learning. As well as this, the children completed an Enrich activity linked to the UK countries. The thoroughly enjoyed this. Please see the photos below:
